About the Role
Bury Council, is seeking a highly skilled and resilient Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join the Emergency Duty Team (EDT).
This critical out-of-hours role focuses on providing urgent mental health assessments and crisis interventions to safeguard vulnerable individuals in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Statutory Assessments: Undertake statutory assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007).
- Crisis Management: Provide rapid, high-quality responses to out-of-hours emergency mental health crises.
- Collaboration: Work closely with health professionals, emergency services, and legal bodies to ensure safe outcomes.
- Risk Mitigation: Make independent, defensible decisions in high-pressure safeguarding environments.
