About the role: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in Dudley. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced, multi-agency environment where you will play a vital role in safeguarding children and young people by screening and assessing referrals, gathering information, and making informed decisions to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and assess incoming contacts and referrals relating to children and families.
- Gather and analyse information from partner agencies to identify risk and determine appropriate outcomes.
- Undertake safeguarding assessments and make recommendations in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
- Work collaboratively with police, health, education, and other key agencies.
- Ensure that children at risk receive timely and effective interventions.
- Maintain accurate case records and complete reports within required timescales.
- Contribute to strategy discussions and safeguarding decision-making processes.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized Social Work qualification.
- Registered with the relevant professional body.
- Previous experience within a MASH, Assessment, Duty & Assessment, or Front Door service.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and statutory guidance.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment.
