An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Therapy Outpatients Team. This role is ideal for a clinician confident in acute medicine who is ready to step into a fast-paced, supportive environment during the winter pressure period.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality assessments, supporting timely discharge, and contributing to effective patient flow.
Key Responsibilities- Provide physiotherapy assessment and intervention for patients within the acute medical setting
- Assess, prescribe, and arrange appropriate mobility equipment
- Support safe and efficient discharge planning
- Attend board rounds and collaborate with the MDT to support patient flow
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based practice across the caseload
- Potential for weekend cover, depending on staffing levels
- HCPC-registered Physiotherapist
- Previous acute medical experience at Band 6 or strong Band 5 ready to step up
- Confident in rapid assessment and decision-making
- Strong MDT communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload in a busy hospital environment
