About The Role:
This is a non-case holding position offering the opportunity to combine strategic planning and service development with involvement in day-to-day practice matters. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will help ensure the delivery of a consistently high-quality fostering service, tailored to meet the needs of both kinship and mainstream foster carers.
You will play a key role in supporting staff, promoting best practice and ensuring assessments and service delivery meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the development of fostering practice and service performance.
- Undertake quality assurance of fostering assessments completed by internal and external assessors.
- Provide supervision, guidance and support to staff within the fostering service.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of fostering legislation, regulations and guidance.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the fostering panel process and its role within the service.
- Contribute to strategic planning, service improvement and the development of effective fostering provision.
- Work alongside the Service Manager to develop tailored support for kinship and mainstream foster carers.
- Promote high standards of practice, safeguarding and quality across the service.
