Family Court Adviser Role Summary
- The Family Court Adviser role provides advanced social work support to children, families, and courts within family proceedings, ensuring the child's welfare and safeguarding remain central to all decision-making.
- The role involves assessing risk, analysing complex cases, advising courts on child protection and welfare concerns, and working directly with children and families to achieve positive outcomes.
- Applicants must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and have at least three years post‑qualifying experience working with children and families.
- Strong assessment, communication, negotiation, case management, and IT skills are essential, alongside the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage sensitive, high‑conflict situations professionally.
