We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Social Worker to join the Community Mental Health Team in West Lothian. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality mental health social work to adults within the community.
The Role
- Undertake strengths-based assessments and develop recovery-focused care and support plans
- Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and multi-disciplinary colleagues including NHS partners
- Complete risk, capacity, and safeguarding assessments
- Contribute to statutory duties under relevant mental health and adult support legislation
- Support adults to maintain independence and wellbeing within the community
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records and reports
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- SSSC registration (or eligibility)
- Experience in adult mental health social work or community-based services
- Strong assessment, communication, and multi-agency working skills
- A person-centred, recovery-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes complex environment
