Locum Principal Occupational Therapist – Based in Bristol

  • Are you a strategic Occupational Therapy leader ready to drive real system-wide impact?
  • We’re partnering with Bristol City Council to recruit a Principal Occupational Therapist who will lead the strategic development and integration of Occupational Therapy across Adult Social Care and Children’s Services.
  • This is a high-profile leadership opportunity where you’ll shape service delivery, influence transformation programmes, and embed strengths-based, person-centred practice across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading OT strategy across adults’ and children’s services
  • Driving transformation, service redesign and pathway improvement
  • Providing professional leadership, governance and quality oversight
  • Influencing workforce development and practice standards
  • Working alongside senior leaders and multidisciplinary partners

What we’re looking for

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist (DipCOT, BSc or equivalent)
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant social care OT experience including leadership responsibility
  • Proven track record in service improvement and change management
  • Strong strategic, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
