Children's Social Worker needed for our Looked After Children & Care Leavers Team in Bolton, paying £37ph.

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join a busy and dynamic team in Bolton, delivering a statutory service to Looked After Children, Care Leavers, and Homeless Young People. This service supports young people aged 16 up to 25, helping them develop the skills, resilience, and practical pathways needed to move successfully towards independence and adulthood. Many of the young people supported by the team have complex needs, so the role requires a confident practitioner who can build strong relationships and deliver high-quality social work practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of Looked After Children, Care Leavers, and Homeless Young People
  • Support young people aged 16–25 in developing their Pathway Plans towards independence
  • Undertake assessments, risk management, and care/pathway planning
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure young people receive the right support
  • Engage effectively with young people who may be resistant to services
  • Advocate for and improve life chances and outcomes for Care Leavers
