We are looking for experienced CP chairs who know CP/CIN, Safeguarding and CiC as well as ROTH.

Job Purpose

  • To chair Child Protection Conferences and other safeguarding meetings.
  • To quality assure the progress of the Child Protection plan and the quality of safeguarding practice with children and families.
  • To review the progress and impact of the CP plan for a child at key points between conferences and undertake threshold (Continuum of Need) discussions with Social Workers.
  • To undertake reviews of children looked after where needed.
  • To undertake audits of practice to identify learning and practice improvement.
  • To raise practice alerts on behalf of children to ensure best practice is maintained and positive outcomes for children are delivered.
