Derbyshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our supportive team in the Amber Valley Locality. Key Responsibilities
  • Holding and managing a complex caseload consisting of Single Assessments, Child in Need (CIN) cases, and Child Protection (CP) cases.
  • Undertaking comprehensive assessments, developing robust and outcomes-focused care plans, and effectively reviewing progress.
  • Preparing reports and statements for court proceedings and attending court as required to represent the local authority and the best interests of the child.
  • Demonstrating expert knowledge and commitment to safeguarding children, working in line with the latest statutory guidance and procedures.
Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in frontline Children's Social Work (e.g., CIN/CP/Looked After Children teams).
