Qualified Social Worker needed for our Assessment and Intervention Team in Devon, paying up to £42 per hour!
Location: Countywide across Devon
Rate of Pay: Up to £42 per hour
Additional Allowance: £150 per week accommodation/commuter allowance available for eligible candidates.
About the role:
As an Advanced Social Worker, you will work closely with your Team Manager to provide professional leadership, guidance, and supervision to colleagues within the team. You will support the day-to-day operation of the service while helping to drive high standards of practice and positive outcomes for children and families. This is a hands-on role with a reduced caseload, enabling you to focus on children and families with complex needs. You will undertake in-depth assessments, provide expert interventions, and use your experience to mentor, coach, and develop less experienced practitioners and students. You will play a key role in embedding evidence-based practice, championing continuous learning, and supporting a culture of reflection and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a smaller caseload involving children and families with complex needs.
- Undertake comprehensive and analytical assessments and interventions.
- Provide professional leadership and practice support within the team.
- Mentor, coach, and supervise colleagues, students, and less experienced social workers.
- Deliver on-the-job training and support practice development.
- Promote high standards of social work practice and evidence-based decision-making.
- Contribute to service improvement and quality assurance activities.
- Work effectively within a multi-agency environment to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
