About The Role:
Lincolnshire is seeking an experienced and committed Social Worker to join its Children’s Assessment and Safeguarding Team based in Grantham. This is a rewarding frontline role where you will have the opportunity to work with children and families from the point of referral through to case closure, ensuring continuity and consistency of support throughout their journey. Where required, you will continue to work with families through Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Care Proceedings, with no change of allocated Social Worker.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessments of children and families where safeguarding concerns have been identified.
- Manage cases from referral through to closure, providing consistent support and intervention throughout.
- Hold and manage Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Care Proceedings cases.
- Develop, implement, and review plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, and court documentation for both public and private law proceedings.
- Attend court hearings and contribute to legal planning processes where required.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Participate in the team duty rota, operating on a one week on, three weeks off basis.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Experience managing safeguarding cases involving Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
- Experience preparing court reports and participating in legal proceedings.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced statutory children’s services environment.
- Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
