About the role
As an Adult Social Worker, you will play a key role in supporting adults and ensuring they receive appropriate care, safeguarding and support. The position involves a varied caseload and a combination of safeguarding, assessment and duty responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Triaging new contacts and referrals coming into the service.
- Conducting Section 42 safeguarding enquiries where required.
- Completing Care Act assessments and support planning.
- Undertaking Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and Best Interests Assessments (BIA) where appropriate.
- Participating in the team duty system, responding to urgent cases and providing timely interventions.
- Working collaboratively with service users, carers, families and partner agencies.
- Maintaining accurate, high-quality case recording and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Strong experience in Adult Social Care, including safeguarding and statutory assessments.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and a varied caseload effectively.
- Confident working within multi‑agency environments.
- Strong communication, assessment and decision‑making skills.
