We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Acute Dietitian to join our dynamic team. This Band 6 role is ideal for an experienced dietitian with a strong interest in acute care, particularly in gastroenterology, surgery, and parenteral nutrition (PN). You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing dietetic care across a variety of specialties including stroke, general medicine, ICU, and the acute hospital-at-home service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert nutritional support to inpatients and outpatients, focusing on PN, gastroenterology, and surgical care.
- Participate in and contribute to the hospital’s Multi-Disciplinary Nutrition Team and PN ward rounds.
- Provide supervision and guidance to junior dietitians and dietetic assistants.
- Act as a clinical lead for service development and patient-centred care initiatives.
- Support training of student dietitians and the development of educational materials and policies.
Essential Criteria:
- BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent, with HCPC registration.
- Minimum of 18 months’ post-registration experience including work in acute settings.
