Role overview: The role will initially require someone who is willing to be heavily involved with embedding new systems and processes, who is practical, pragmatic and commercially minded and who can work closely with finance colleagues and manage external advisors. The role will cover all taxes except payroll taxes globally and would suit someone who enjoys variety. The group has operations in circa 10 countries with 3 significant territories. Revenue is in excess of $1bn and as a result of significant international expansion the group will fall into both CbCR and Pillar 2 in the coming years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting 3rd party advisors with the preparation and filing of the Group’s direct and indirect tax returns
- Maintaining the annual tax compliance calendar
- Ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner
- Running all tax audits and responding to tax authority queries with the support of 3rd party advisors
- Maintaining the integrity of the tax accounts and provisions in the financial statements and group accounts and managing the year end statutory audit for tax
- Identifying and understanding changing global tax legislation and implementing this for the Group
- Working with the Interim Head of Tax to implement the
