The role is working within our studio: Lion Studios. Lion Studios is a mobile games publisher that works with mobile developers to get their games discovered by players around the world. Headquartered in San Francisco, Lion Studios' creative and strategy teams utilize their expertise to help game developers break through the noise and grow their businesses. Role Overview
As our Ad Monetisation Analyst, you'll take ownership of the ad monetisation strategy for a diverse portfolio of games, guiding them from their initial prototype phase all the way to a full launch. Your responsibilities will include building and optimizing ad waterfalls, managing all ad monetisation setups, and conducting A/B tests to continuously improve performance. You will be expected to consistently generate and test new ideas for monetisation innovations. A key part of the role is to foster strong relationships with external partners to secure the best deals and ensure robust business relations. Internally, you will work closely with the product and growth teams to ensure a cohesive strategy and maximize ad revenue across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Own ad monetisation strategy for a portfolio of games: build, optimize, and manage monetisation setups to maximize revenue across Lion Studios.
- Design and execute monetisation-related product decisions.
- Lead integration, testing, and rollout of new monetisation partners.
- Manage relationships with ad providers.
- Propose and drive new monetization initiatives, partnering with engineering to scope and build the solutions behind them.
- Track eCPM, fill rate, ARPDAU, and other core KPIs, and report performance and insights to Product, UA, and leadership.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for ad network — technical troubleshooting, escalations, and holding partners accountable to commitments.
- Comfort designing and reading A/B tests with statistical rigor.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and User Acquisition teams to share insights, enhance workflows, and drive efficiency.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- More than 3 years of experience in ad monetisation in gaming.
- Hands-on experience with MAX mediation platform.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, dashboards, or analytical frameworks.
- Self-sufficient, autonomous, and able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-changing environment.
- Knowledge of Looker for analytics and reporting is a plus.
