Role OverviewThis is a unique opportunity to become the finance lead for a fast-growing startup being built within a major gaming studio. PuzzlePlay is scaling rapidly, expanding into new markets and growing its user base and portfolio.
As the dedicated finance lead, you'll have significant ownership and visibility across the entire business — from core accounting and treasury through to FP&A, international expansion, product launches and strategic projects. You'll work directly with the PuzzlePlay leadership and product teams, while partnering with Group Finance, Tax and Legal.
You'll have the autonomy and pace of a startup, backed by the expertise and infrastructure of a larger gaming group.
Most importantly, you'll be building the finance function as the business grows and tailoring it to the needs of both you and the key stakeholders.
What You'll DoOwn the Finance Function: Lead month-end close, reporting, reconciliations and intercompany accountingManage treasury, FX exposure and payment provider relationshipsOversee reward liabilities, settlement cycles and cash flowBuild and maintain finance controls around fraud, abuse and user payoutsSupport Growth: Lead budgeting, forecasting and KPI reportingBuild financial models around PuzzlePlay's unique economics and user dynamicsPartner with Product on the financial implications of new features and mechanicsSupport entry into new territories, including tax, payments, regulatory and compliance requirementsWork with Legal, KYC/Compliance and external advisors as the business expandsLead Strategic Projects: Support intercompany recharge arrangementsDevelop PuzzlePlay's finance systems, processes and controls as it moves towards a standalone infrastructureOwn statutory reporting and audit as the business reaches scaleAbout YouWe're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), ideally with 1–2 years PQE, who wants real ownership and exposure to a growing business.
