Specialty Doctor Emergency Medicine with CESR Support & Rotations
We have been assigned by an NHS Trust in the East Midlands to recruit to their Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine with CESR Rotations vacancy on a permanent basis.

Our client\βs Emergency Department has recently undergone a complete renovation tripling in size and currently approximately 85000 new patients are seen per annum, the department has undergone a complete renovation tripling in size with a 10 cubicle Minors area, 22 bedded Majors area, a separate 6 cubicle Paediatric area (with a HDU cubicle and procedure room) and a state of the art 7 bedded resus along with a training room, clinic area, 2 plaster rooms, 2 procedure rooms, a meeting room and an office suite.
The successful appointee will be working in a team of 10 consultants and the department is funding for 10 Specialty Doctors, four Specialist Registrars, 9 Junior Doctors and support is provided to them with ALS, ATLS and EPLS courses among others and the Department even runs weekly Junior Dr and Middle grade teaching sessions.
The successful appointee will be joining a unique situation where they\βll be expected to fulfil various responsibilities including: Active involvement in audit, clinical governance and the development of departmental policies. Playing an active role in the day-to-day management and administration of the Emergency Department, teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and nursing staff as appropriate, in conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to play a full part in the out-of-hours On-Call service for the emergency department & Involvement in Emergency Medicine multi-disciplinary teams and meetings. This unique CESR rotation is being offered by the emergency department and is intended to provide the clinician with the support and training required to successfully complete all aspects of the CESR process, providing specific three month secondment-style modules to address relevant educational and competency needs including Anaesthesia, ITU, Acute Medicine and Paediatrics.
