Is your dream to be surrounded by the beautiful countryside? Our client is seeking a committed Consultant Cellular Pathologist to give them a chance to live out their dream in a sought after location. The hospital currently serves a local population of approximately 250,000. The workload covers non-gynaecological cytology and a broad range of general histopathology. The appointee will be provided with their own individual office, excellent microscope with imaging facility and secretarial support.
This is an opportunity to join a high achieving, friendly, well-run department with a stable workforce. The opportunity for the appointee to participate in the autopsy service is available, but not a requirement of the post.
The post holder must have the following:
- MBChb or equivalent
- Full specialist registration with the General Medical Council (or eligible for registration within six months of interview)
- MRCP or equivalent
- Any UK trained applicants should also hold CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview
- Any non-UK trained applicants will be required to show evidence of equivalence to UK CCT
- Satisfactory completion of ARCP outcome 6 (recommendation for completion of training) process or equivalence
Additional information:
- The Department undertakes approximately 18,000 cases per annum with 6 established consultant posts.
- Study leave and professional leave for CPD/professional development will be made available.
