Our client is regularly one of the top-three hospitals in England for emergency care. They have a global reputation for research, development and innovative partnerships with primary care.
The post is full time covering 10 PA’s (40 hours) including on call commitment if appropriate. A request to move from full-time to part-time will be considered in accordance with the Trusts Flexible Working Procedure.
Minimum Requirements
- FULL GMC registration
- Wide knowledge, experience and high level of competence in general clinic rheumatology
- Interest and experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound
- An appropriate higher surgical/medical qualification
- Experience and competence in performing a wide range of rheumatological procedures
- Experience of coping with the demands of a DGH based consultant (i.e. Locum Consultant experience)
- Interest and experience in the management of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases
For candidates who reside abroad, you must have completed the necessary language test (IELTS / OET / NARIC) before applying. You must be able to satisfy the language test requirements of the UKVI remit.
The successful candidate will join a team of 5 Consultants together with a team of Rheumatology Specialist Practitioners. The Service also has a Specialist Registrar, Venepuncture, X-ray and ultrasound facilities, a DEXA machine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and specialist podiatry all on site.
