A North East London NHS Trust has appointed my agency to help recruit a substantive or 12 month NHS Fixed Term Consultant Radiologist with sub specialty interest in Breast & General Radiology.
Vacancy Information
Our client, a University Hospital, has easy access to central London and Essex. The Trust has a turnover of £249m and employs over 3000 people. Radiology forms part of a newly formed access directorate which also incorporates outpatients.
Job Plan
A typical Job plan would be a mix of Breast and General Radiology sessions and look something like the following:
- 2 breast clinic one stop sessions a week
- 1 cold breast list (biopsies, cold referrals and follow up US typically)
- 1 acute CT
- 1 hot reporting
- 1 cold CT
- 1 cold MRI
- 2 SPA
- 1 on call
On call are one in 10, so roughly 5 weekends a year and 3 evening weekdays a month. All CT are outsourced from 7 pm to 8 am so no overnight work. Given the on call commitment that one day free a week could be organised (so typically working 4 days a week only), but this should be confirmed during interview.
Requirements
Our client will consider both experienced and new Consultants and would be interested to hear from those completing their specialist training. GMC registration is essential, however specialist registration is not essential for this post. Overseas applicants will be considered provided they have GMC registration and Certificates of Sponsorship will be issued to successful overseas applicants who require visas.
