Is it your dream to live in London? This could be your chance! Our client is seeking a committed Locum Consultant who specialises in Gynaecology to give them a chance to live out their dream in a sought after location.
The post holder is expected to provide general Gynaecological care, for example: Rapid Access Clinics, Ambulatory Gynaecology, Colposcopy, Diagnostic skills and Inpatient and Day Surgical Theatre lists.
The obstetrics and gynaecology department is busy with a full range of service being offered across two sites. There are currently 10 gynaecology beds, a dedicated gynaecology theatre and a day surgery unit based at the hospital. As well as providing general gynaecology, the service also supports special interests in gynaecological oncology, colposcopy, urodynamics, urogynaecology, infertility, assisted conception and a specialist menopause service.
The post holder must have the following:
- Registerable medical qualification
- MRCOG or equivalent
- RCOG accredited subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine or equivalent
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (or eligible for registration within six months of interview)
- Any UK trained applicants should also hold CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview
- Any non-UK trained applicants will be required to show evidence of equivalence to UK CCT
- Wide experience in all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, culminating in award of CCT or equivalent.
- Training in ambulatory gynaecology
- Benign abdominal surgery: open and laparoscopic ATSM
