We\’ve been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant in Haematology with an interest in Red Cell Disorders on either a Substantive or a 12-month NHS Fixed Term basis.
The successful appointee will join an excellent Haematology department of 5 Consultants and participate in the on-call rota, which is 1 in 5. Responsibilities include:
- Providing care and support for haematology in-patients
- Offering advisory services for haematology issues in non-haematology in-patients
- Participating in the authorization of haematology laboratory results, including examination and reporting of abnormal blood films
- Performing Bone Marrow biopsies
- Maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical governance activities
- Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary team
The trust is undergoing a new strategy aligned with their values of quality, people, pathways, ease of use, and sustainability, supported by a significant investment of £150 million under the \’Our changing hospitals\’ programme, following complex service reconfigurations.
