Consultant Stroke Medicine vacancy in Buckinghamshire. We have a Consultant Stroke opportunity on an initial 12-month NHS Fixed Term Contract. Our client is an integrated Trust based in Buckinghamshire, with a recently expanded Stroke service and a second cath lab, maintaining an A-grade rating for SSNAP. They have been designated one of eight Accountable Care Systems in the country and named in the top 40 Trusts in the UK.
Vacancy information:
- Based in a high-performing Stroke Service with a grade A SSNAP rating and excellent hyper-acute domain scores, including thrombolysis.
- 24/7 Mechanical Thrombectomy (MT) available across partnering sites, with a transfer rate of 5% and rising.
- Top 10% of Trusts nationally for Door in Door Out times.
Successful appointees will be required to maintain high clinical standards in Stroke patient management, share day-to-day management responsibilities, teach junior staff, and participate in Clinical Governance and audit.

Base Salary: Β£105,504 - Β£139,882 pa for 10 PA's pwk. Candidates are welcome to apply, including those not on the specialist register, as NHS Fixed Term Locum Contracts are available. Overseas applicants are also welcome, with GMC registration essential.
