We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Histopathology on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Pathology department. Our client is currently offering an excellent opportunity within the Pathology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful applicant will be part of a team of 8 consultants providing a comprehensive Cellular Pathology service. The department serves approximately 500,000 residents and has undergone significant service reconfiguration with a £150 million investment to transform the hospital into a specialist emergency and inpatient hospital under the ‘Our changing hospitals’ programme.
The successful appointee will be expected to:
- Maintain high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participate in strategic planning.
- Engage in teaching and training within the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical governance activities.
- Contribute to continuing medical education and support various clinical specialties, including Breast Cancer, General Surgery, Urology, and others.
