Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a busy symptomatic one-stop clinic with biopsies.
- Carry out NHSBSP work, including film reading and assessment clinics.
- Perform breast interventions, including wide-bore needle biopsy, vacuum-assisted biopsy, and lymph node sampling.
- Ensure all films are double-read; films from the one-stop clinic are read again after the clinic.
Additional information:
There is scope for a small amount of general work; Fridays and another half day may be available if the clinician wishes to keep their hand in, but the emphasis is on the breast service.
Experience requirement: A candidate with only minor breast-work experience would not be satisfactory; significant breast radiology experience is expected.
