We have been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant in Endocrinology & Diabetes on either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term basis. The successful appointee will be joining a well-regarded Diabetes and Endocrinology team of 10 consultants & 4 specialty registrars; the department will roughly serve over 500,000 and the workload will comprise inpatient, outpatient clinics and DOT Support.
The post also entails duties such as assisting with clinical governance & audit, administrative duties such as attending MDT meetings & helping develop the diabetes and endocrinology services appropriate to the needs of the population in partnership with the other consultant Diabetologists and with support from the Clinical Director, which will include mentorship support.
Our client is currently undergoing a new strategy & values which will boost this trust in the aftermath of COVID-19; the trust’s strategic points are quality, people, pathways, ease of use & sustainability, underpinned by the trust’s values. Over the past few years, the trust has undergone one of the most complex service reconfigurations in the NHS – both to deadline and budget. Under the banner of the Our Changing Hospitals programme, an investment of £150 million was made to improve this trust.
