Emergency Medicine Consultant

We have been appointed by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in London to help recruit a Consultant level Emergency Medicine doctor on either a substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis. The Trust will support consultants in developing a special interest within Emergency Medicine such as Academic Emergency Medicine, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Major Trauma, Emergency Ultrasound, Emergency Geriatrics or pre-hospital care.

The post is located in a leafy suburban town in a highly sought after location due to its close proximity to many well-regarded grammar schools in addition to restaurants and local markets. The Hospital has 525 funded beds, and approximately 80,000 emergency attendances per annum. It serves a population of 500,000. The Emergency Department is supported by a comprehensive pathology service and there is a large modern radiology department offering a good range of services including CT, MR and interventional radiology.

The post holder will have the following:

• Full registration with the general medical council
• Wide experience in all aspects of Emergency Medicine
• Experience of undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and exam preparation
• Experience of clinical research
• Ability to demonstrate leadership capability within multi-disciplinary teams
