NHS CONSULTANT RHEUMATOLOGY VACANCY
We have been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant Rheumatologist on either a substantive or a 12-month NHS Fixed Term basis. Our client can offer positions in either pure Rheumatology or combined with GIM.
The Trust achieved an “Outstanding” rating in their 2016 Care Quality Commission inspection and an overall “Good” rating across the hospital. It is a regional centre of excellence for specialties including Obesity Research, Neurophysiology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, and Cancer Services. The location offers easy access to London and Midlands, major motorways, and an international airport.
This is a newly created post to join a team of 6 established Rheumatologists. The preferred interest will be in Bone Health and Osteoporosis, though this is not essential. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop research interests aligned with the department’s focus and facilities.
The Consultant will attend weekly MDT meetings and fortnightly X-ray meetings, and will support and train SpRs and junior medical staff.
