You’ll work primarily at the main hospital site, providing outpatient clinics, inpatient support, and specialist input in rheumatology. Subspecialty interests such as connective tissue disease, giant cell arteritis, osteoporosis, and musculoskeletal ultrasound are encouraged and supported. Their biologics service, active since 1999, currently manages over 300 patients and continues to expand.

There are close links with tertiary centres in Edinburgh and Glasgow, ensuring seamless collaboration for complex cases. Opportunities to contribute to clinical audit, research and service innovation are strongly supported, with help from our local R&D department.

In addition to your rheumatology commitments, there is the option to contribute to the general medicine on‑call rota (currently 1:12 with prospective cover).

  • An enthusiastic teacher, mentor and collaborator with a commitment to continuous improvement.
