Consultant Rheumatologist (NHS Fixed Term or Substantive)

For our client, quality and safety is at the heart of everything. You could be a part of this fantastic Trust delivering safe, personal and effective care to all of their patients.

They are looking for a Consultant who specialises in Rheumatology on either a substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis. This Trust is located in one of the most outstandingly beautiful countryside\’s in Northern England.

The job consists of roughly 8 sessions of direct patient related activity in rheumatology, 2PAs of Supporting Professional Activities. Please note that there are no out of hours on call commitments for Rheumatology, however the post holder will be expected to support the medical on call service with urgent Rheumatological advice if required. Facilities are available for home working up to 1 day a week and there are opportunities for candidates wishing to work in General Internal Medicine.

The following is required to be eligible for this post:
• Primary Medical Degree
• CCST in Rheumatology (or within 6 months of accreditation)
• MRCP or equivalent
• Excellent clinical skills including community care and Hospital based practice
• Ability to motivate, inspire and support a multiprofessional team, and to be able to work effectively and sensitively within it.

Additional information

• The appointee will be required to live within 10 miles or 30 minutes travel time by car of the relevant Trust Hospital base. The Trust will reimburse certain expenses relating to removal and relocation when required; the expenses refunded shall reflect the actual costs involved but will not exceed £8,000.
• Secretarial support and office accommodation will be provided for the appointee.
