Consultant Psychiatrist – Adult Planned Care & Recovery Team
Are you confident when working independently? Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Consultant who specialises in General Adult Psychiatry to join their fantastic team.
The hospital is based in the East Midlands, this could be your chance to relocate to a beautiful countryside location where many people in the UK visit to relax and recharge.
The post holder is expected to undertake administrative duties associated with the care of patients and to promptly record clinical activities accurately and comprehensively. He /she is also expected to maintain professional registration with the Mental Health Act Section 12 (2) approval, and to abide by professional codes of conduct.
For the successful applicant a typical working week is likely to include out-patient clinics, team meeting, liaison with other professionals including UCAT, clinical administration, Mental Health Act work in community and supervision of the junior doctor. The post holder will also be expected to maintain close contact with his counterpart inpatient consultant.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration (ESSENTIAL)
- MRCPsych
- On Specialist Register/CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or eligible for inclusion within six months
- Ability to work independently as well as part of A MDT
- Able to form a good working relationship with the peer group
- Willingness to participate in in-house training
- Ability to motivate and develop junior Medical Staff and other MDT members
Additional Information
Full Time 10 PAs per week / part time and flexible hours negotiable
