Our client based in the East Midlands is looking for a Consultant who specialises in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. This is a full time, substantive post with the opportunity to join a well-established consultant team.
The hospital serves over 400,000 people across the area and surrounding areas for specialist services. There is an up-to-date outpatient department with four consulting rooms and two treatment rooms. All consulting rooms are equipped with Karl Storz HD endoscopy equipment and the treatment rooms have operating microscopes.
The following is required to be eligible for this post:
• Full GMC registration (ESSENTIAL)
• FRCS or equivalent
• Eligible for entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or CCT within 6 months of interview
• Broad experience in the management of ENT elective surgery and emergency care
• Experience with speciality interest in sub-speciality of choice
• Evidence of clinical audit
• Evidence of working effectively and as a team player amongst a multi-professional team
• Extended experience/training in ENT Surgery
• Evidence of further training in sub-specialty applied for
• Evidence of teaching and training skills for junior staff
Additional information
• The post holder will have on-call responsibilities, which are currently 1 in 10, and come with 1 PA and 4% on-call availability supplement.
• The job plan includes access to urgent / routine outpatient referrals and in-patient and day surgery list.
