We are seeking a Consultant in Radiology - Cross Sectional with Head & Neck Interest for a position with a leading NHS Trust in the UK. The role can be offered on a substantive basis or as a 12-month NHS Fixed Term contract.
The NHS Trust is one of the largest in the West Midlands, providing primary, acute, and community services. The department offers all radiological modalities except CT/PET, which is sourced from private facilities nearby. The department is part of the Clinical Support Services Directorate, alongside Pathology and Pharmacy.
The responsibilities include:
- Delivering teaching and supervision to radiology specialty registrars
- Providing clinical teaching to medical students and junior doctors
- Engaging in Clinical Governance, Risk Management, and Clinical Audit
- Delivering general radiology services
- Providing specialist head and neck imaging, including image-guided biopsies and FNAC
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to uphold high standards of patient care
The successful candidate will benefit from excellent leadership, a 10 PA workload (which can be increased), and the opportunity to work in a vibrant city with outstanding schools and proximity to two international airports.
