Our client located just off the South Coast of England is looking for a forward-thinking Consultant who specialises in Geriatric Medicine to join their fantastic team.
The hospital is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and a variety of distinctive landscapes that are waiting to be explored. Located only 2 hours away from London via ferry or hovercraft, this location is a favourite for many UK residents and tourists to relax and unwind.
Our client is looking for an individual with an interest in:
• Perioperative care
• Stroke
• Dementia
• Frailty
• Interface geriatrics
• General geriatrics
• Movement disorders
• Multi-morbidity including end stage organ failures (cardiac, renal, respiratory)
• Community geriatric
The post holder\’s should have the following:
• Full GMC Registration with License to Practice(ESSENTIAL)
• Full MRCP or equivalent
• Entry on the GMC specialist register for Geriatrics and General Internal Medicine via (a) CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview)
• Completed recognised training programme in General Internal Medicine
• Able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in GIM
• Commitment to the development of a high quality cost effective service to General Internal Medicine
Additional Information
The job description sets the working day as a 2 PA working day however consultants have the ability to work longer than an 8 hour day to undertake administrative tasks on a flexible basis if required. On such days, a lunch break will be provided between morning and afternoon sessions during the normal working week.
