We have been appointed by a renowned Teaching Hospital in the North to help recruit 2 Consultant Anaesthetists for either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term contract. We are therefore recruiting for one Consultant Anaesthetist to work in General Theatres and the other in Critical Care.
The General Anaesthetics team provides anaesthetic services for General, Breast and Colorectal Surgery, Orthopaedics and Trauma, ENT, Dental, Ophthalmic Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Gynaecology and Maternity Services for the local population. The department also runs an Acute Pain Service, Pain Management Clinic and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing service. The Acute Pain Service and the Paediatric Service have both received national recognition for their standards of care.
Our client is able to support candidates with special interests in a number of sub‑specialties and would be happy to discuss these informally during interview. This post includes the participation in the on call cover on the General Anaesthetics rota.

Either experienced Consultants wishing to take up a new challenge or Specialist trainees finishing their training looking for their first Consultant level appointment are encouraged to apply.
