We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Clinical Fellow in Paediatrics on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Paediatrics department. The appointee will be joining a Children's Assessment Unit (CAU) that includes: 8 cubicles, ambulatory care with transfer of patients needing inpatient care to UHCW, Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) - 8 cots Level 1, Drayton Postnatal Ward - 2000+ deliveries per year- weekdays baby checks, Children's Outpatient Clinic including specialist clinics & Day-case and Treatment room.
The successful appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties, such as:
- Assessment and treatment of acutely unwell children in CAU.
- Assist in the resuscitation and stabilisation of critically unwell children.
- Diagnosis, treatment and continuing care of newborn infants in the SCBU and Drayton Postnatal Ward.
- Undertake clinic list in Outpatients and act at middle grade level.
- Undertake treatments and procedures in infants or children attending for Day cases.
- Participate in undergraduate Child Health teaching and assessments.
- Assist with quality assurance, audit programmes and managing resources and budgets, when necessary.
