We have been asked by an NHS Foundation Trust in West Midlands to help them recruit a Consultant Radiologist in MSK, either on a substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis. The successful appointee will be joining a team of six radiologists with an interest in MSK Imaging within a department of 41.5wte Consultant Radiologists.
As an MSK consultant radiologist you will be working with some of the latest equipment available in a purpose built department, such as: new hospital complex which provides high quality imaging equipment, dedicated IR Day Case Unit with 8 beds and IR clinic facilities. The Imaging department has seven MRI scanners and six CT scanners with a seventh CT scanner approved to be installed in Summer 2022.
The appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties within the department, these include:
- Working closely with their colleagues through cancer MDTs and joint clinico-radiological conferences.
- Sharing responsibilities to support the Surgical and Rheumatology Directorates through Multi-Disciplinary team meetings.
- Contributing to the delivery of a high quality radiology service within a busy imaging department providing both general and specialist services in diagnostics and interventional imaging which performs more than 700,000 Imaging examinations and procedures per year.
- Contributing to the weekday on-call service on rotation with also a 1 in 8 rota for Saturdays or Sundays.
- Participation in Teaching and Training for various students.
- Assistance with Research, Governance & Audit.
