Overview
NHS CONSULTANT GERONTOLOGY VACANCY – LONDON. We have an Associate Specialist or Staff Grade Gerontology vacancy at one of London\’s more prestigious NHS Trusts. This is a dynamic department with a strong track record in delivering innovative pathways of care, high quality multi-professional training and academic research. The Trust operates an integrated approach to General Medicine and Geriatric Medicine with a mix of geriatric acute beds and dedicated specialty beds for the care of the more complex older adult. Opportunities exist for other sub-specialty interests to be accommodated and the Trust supports academic research interests.
This is a great location with excellent transport links into Central London and a leafy suburban environment, offering a calm pace of life while remaining close to the amenities of the capital.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the gerontology team in an integrated older people’s service within the NHS Trust.
- Contribute to high quality, multi-professional training and clinical pathways in geriatric medicine.
- Support academic research interests and participate in related projects where appropriate.
- Collaborate with general medicine and geriatric medicine services to manage a mix of geriatric acute beds and complex older adult cases.
Qualifications
- GMC registration essential; overseas applicants welcome to apply.
- Experience in geriatric and general medicine is desirable.
- Certificate of Sponsorships will be issued to successful applicants who need them.
- 10 programmed activities (PAs) or equivalent workload as part of the role.
