12 Month NHS Fixed Term Locum Consultant Urology

LONDON UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL – NHS 12 MONTH FIXED TERM LOCUM CONSULTANT UROLOGY VACANCY

We have been appointed by a SE London NHS Trust to help source suitable Consultant Urologists for a 12 month NHS Fixed Term contract.

This is a fantastic time to be joining a very well motivated team based in a brand new Urology department after being repatriated Urology service. The department consists of state of the art diagnostic and treatment facilities for general urology and oncology.

Plans are already under way for a state of the art Urology Investigation Unit (UIU) to compliment the new High Volume Surgical Hub (HVSH) being built on site for all patients in the sector.

The successful post holder will be pivotal in making decisions on the future direction of the service, working closely with Trust colleagues at both Guy\\\’s & St Thomas\\\’s NHSFT and King\\\’s College Hospital NHSFT so prior background in leading service redesign would be a bonus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide urology services in a 12 month fixed term post within the department.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Guy\\\’s & St Thomas\\\’s NHSFT and King\\\’s College Hospital NHSFT on service development and redesign.
• Participate in emergency and planned clinical duties in line with 10 programmed activities and 1.5 SPA.
• Contribute to development of the UIU and HVSH initiatives.

Qualifications / Requirements

• GMC registration
• Consultant-level Urology experience
• Overseas applicants considered with GMC registration
