Trainee Fire Door Inspector to join our growing Passive Fire Protection team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the fire safety sector.

Full training — including progression to Level 3 Fire Door Inspection qualification — will be provided for the right individual.

Role Overview

As a Trainee Fire Door Inspector, you will support the surveying and inspection of fire doors across commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

You’ll learn how to assess compliance, identify defects, and produce inspection reports in line with relevant standards and industry guidance.

No prior fire door experience is required — just the right attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the inspection and surveying of fire doors on customer sites.
  • Learn how to identify non-compliance, defects, and required remedial actions.
  • Support the production of accurate inspection reports and documentation.
  • Work alongside qualified inspectors to gain hands‑on experience.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients and site personnel.
  • Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and reporting systems.
  • Attend training courses as part of your development toward Level 3 qualification.
