The Function & Team
The People function at Triple Point is responsible for the full employee lifecycle from talent acquisition and onboarding through to development, engagement and off‑boarding.
The function operates as a true business partner, combining strategic people insight with high‑quality operational delivery.
The Role
Reporting to the People Operations Director, this hands‑on operational HR role builds and owns a high‑performing People Operations function grounded in process excellence, data integrity and operational discipline.
The person will define, document and embed end‑to‑end People processes, establish governance and controls, drive efficiencies through systems and automation, and own the data, payroll and benefits infrastructure that underpins the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Ownership, Governance & Operations
- Fully map, document and implement standard operating procedures for all core People Operations processes, end‑to‑end
- Redesign and streamline key People processes to remove duplication, reduce manual effort and improve outcomes
- Ensure all processes are documented, standardised, version‑controlled and clearly owned
- Establish clear process governance, controls and SLAs
- Identify and implement AI and automation improvements across core People processes, driving efficiency and scalability
- Support the People digital strategy, contributing to the identification, evaluation and implementation of technology solutions
- Own the day‑to‑day operation of the People Operations function, ensuring all processes run effectively and to defined standards
- Set service standards, SLAs and performance metrics and ensure consistent delivery against them
- Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Systems, Data & Payroll
- Oversee payroll accuracy and ensure all payroll deadlines are met
- Own payroll governance and validation processes for all payroll changes (new joiners, leavers, salary updates, etc.)
- Ensure high data integrity across HR systems, serving as the HR systems subject matter expert and utilising system capabilities to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy and drive continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reporting foundations; own People reporting and MI production, including quarterly workforce metrics and ad hoc reporting to support business decision‑making
- Carry out and maintain a full audit of core people data across all People systems, ensuring accuracy, standardisation and reporting capability
- Act as the People team’s internal systems subject matter expert, maximising platform capability (currently Cezanne) and driving adoption and optimisation
- Implement AI‑enabled improvements to People processes, including automated workflows, letter generation, self‑service solutions and reporting automation
Benefits Administration
- Maintain benefits data in collaboration with Finance and external providers
- Ensure clear and timely communication to employees about their benefits
- Work with the People Director on the annual benefits renewal
- Manage payrolling of benefits and ensure accurate records are maintained
- Employee Lifecycle & Compliance
- Oversee all employee correspondence, including contracts, variations and leavers
- Provide oversight of onboarding processes ensuring alignment with People Operations standards
- Ensure audit readiness (including SMCR where applicable) and support audit processes as required
- Track completion of compulsory employee lifecycle processes such as probation periods, performance reviews and off‑boarding, liaising with SPBPs to ensure compliance
- Lead the annual review and communication of People policies to ensure compliance and consistency, collaborating with Business Partners to ensure legal compliance
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR)
- Manage all visa applications, renewals and right‑to‑work checks in line with Home Office requirements, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and proactively monitoring visa expiry dates
- Oversee ER case documentation standards and tracking
- Provide policy interpretation guidance (with escalation as required to SPBPs)
- Ensure consistent application of People policies
- Manage all family leave processes (maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave), helping to build out recommendations to entitlements based on legislation and market
- Own and manage all first‑line People Operations enquiries, ensuring accurate advice, consistent application of policy and high service standards
- Support with strategic projects as required by the business
- Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience in a People/HR Operations, shared services management or senior operations administration role, with a demonstrable track record of process improvement and operational delivery
- Strong systems aptitude with experience owning and optimising an HRIS or operational platform (e. g. Cezanne, Workday, SAP Success Factors or equivalent)
- Data‑driven mindset, comfortable with MI, reporting, dashboards and data quality governance
- Experience defining, documenting and implementing end‑to‑end processes, with a structured and methodical approach (e. g. process mapping, Lean principles or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail with a low tolerance for inaccuracy in data, process and documentation
- Experience overseeing payroll processes and ensuring data accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑volume environment
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance requirements
- Ability to interpret and apply policy confidently and consistently
- Comfortable working with AI tools and automation technologies to drive process efficiency
- Experience implementing or optimising HR technology or automation solutions
- CIPD Level 5, valued but not essential; operational and systems experience takes precedence
- Experience managing audits or regulatory compliance
- Experience producing workforce analytics and dashboards
- Experience managing benefits renewals and external providers
