We are seeking an Investment Associate with excellent financial modelling skills to join our investment team on a contract basis, either full-time or part-time. The ideal candidate will have experience in renewable energy and energy transition sectors and will help accelerate the global transition to clean energy through innovative financing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluating new potential investments based on investment analysis and understanding the dynamics of the relevant energy transition sectors
- Review and analysis of target financial statements and forecasts
- Support drafting investment proposals and investment committee presentations, in collaboration with investment directors
- Understanding and optimising the project contractual structures from a financial perspective
- Conduct research on selected sectors or market segments to identify and support the origination of potential investment opportunities
- Assist with transaction administration, ensuring compliance with internal procedures
Experience
- Proven relevant experience in energy transition investment
- Strong financial modelling and analysis, including debt finance/project finance structures
- Ideally experience in renewables and/or storage assets in the UK, and/or Europe
- Understanding of renewable project commercials, project risks, and associated management
- Sound understanding of different debt financing structures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
