About Us

Triple J Aviation Engineering is a specialist Diamond Aircraft MRO based at Oxford Airport, operating from a newly refurbished hangar. We maintain and repair the full range of Diamond aircraft, and we're proud of the friendly, safety-conscious environment we've built. Our team is close-knit, professional, and passionate about general aviation.

The Role

We're looking for an organised, proactive Stores Assistant to join our team and keep our operation running smoothly. This role is the backbone of the hangar - making sure the right parts, materials, and tools are where they need to be, when they need to be there.

It's a hands-on role with two distinct sides. You'll spend a good chunk of your time working on our process control system - logging stock, generating labels, managing records - so strong IT skills are a must. The other side is physical: receiving deliveries (from small boxes to full pallets), moving stock, mixing consumables like 25-litre bottles of coolant, and keeping the stores environment clean and well-organised.

If you're the kind of person who takes pride in keeping things in order and doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves, this could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock Control & Inventory Management • Organisation and maintenance of stock levels for both valued stock and consumable materials • Stock rotation, stock control, and regular stock taking • Monitoring and reordering to maintain appropriate levels
  • Goods In & Deliveries • Collecting, sorting, and processing deliveries — from small parcels to pallets • Checking goods received against purchase orders and documentation
  • Order Fulfilment & Shipping • Picking accurate parts from stock — correct part numbers and quantities to meet shipping deadlines • Organising shipments, generating accurate labels, and following packing procedures
  • Tool Control • Accurate tagging and booking out/in of tools • Maintaining tool control records within the process control system
  • Supporting the Engineering Team • Assisting engineers with parts queries and requests • Picking correct parts, batches, and quantities, and recording what has been issued accurately within the system
  • Store Environment & General Duties • Maintaining store environment controls including temperature monitoring • Keeping the stores area clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times • Managing bins - ensuring they don't overflow and are taken out on schedule each week • Paperwork administration including scanning and filing documents

About You

Essential:

  • Very good IT literacy — you'll be working on our process control system daily
  • Physically capable of handling heavy loads and manual tasks
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Strong time management and ability to work well under pressure
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach - you'll spot what needs doing and get on with it
  • Willingness to learn and follow procedures accurately

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control environment
  • Experience working in aviation, engineering, or a regulated industry
  • Familiarity with inventory management or process control systems
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one

What We Offer

  • Workplace pension scheme
  • Free on-site parking at Oxford Airport
  • Overtime available
  • Company social events
  • A friendly, supportive team working in a modern, newly refurbished hangar
  • Full training provided — we'll teach you the aviation-specific side
  • A genuine commitment to your development within the role
  • The odd flight in one of our aircraft!

Ideal start date: July 2026

If this sounds like the right fit for you, we'd love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a brief covering note, or get in touch for an informal chat about the role.
