We are looking for an intermediate level Salesforce Engineer II to join the team. This role is open to candidates based within a commutable distance (generally within 2–3 hours) of one of our office hubs in Oxford or London. We embrace flexibility in where and how work gets done and also value meaningful in-person moments to connect and collaborate. You can expect a remote-first working model with periodic in-person gatherings at your closest office for team connection, planning, or other key moments.
What you'll do:
- Work with other engineers, product managers and stakeholders to design and build solutions on the Salesforce platform for business operations teams in a fast paced environment.
- Continual improvement on existing features/processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members, business stakeholders and understand business requirements.
- Mentor junior team members on the team.
- Actively participate in design discussions and provide suggestions.
What you'll need:
- 3-7 years of experience as a Software Engineer on the Salesforce platform.
- Knowledge of the Salesforce platform's declarative and programmatic capabilities.
- Understanding of Salesforce-specific development complexities, including governor and rolling limits, and order of execution.
- Experience with a Salesforce devops process including Git-based version control.
- Salesforce Admin, Platform Developer 1, or Salesforce Service Cloud Certifications (or working towards).
- Knowledge of Salesforce integration capabilities.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals - testability, performance.
- Passion for working within a distributed team and the ability to work more autonomously when required.
- Proven ability to create solutions on the Salesforce platform based on a business requirement.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies such as backlog refinement, standups and sprint retrospectives would be desirable.
