With 300,000+ travel experiences to explore, we enable memories that will last a lifetime. We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our fast-growing team. This role is open to candidates based within a commutable distance (generally within 2β3 hours) of one of our office hubs in Oxford or London. We embrace flexibility in where and how work gets done and also value meaningful in-person moments to connect and collaborate. You can expect a remote-first working model with periodic in-person gatherings at your closest office for team connection, planning, or other key moments.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers and designers as part of the full software lifecycle: design, code, test, deploy, and iterate.
- Contribute to backend systems as a backend-focused, full-stack engineer with occasional frontend projects.
- Collaborate in a team that releases code to production every few days with a daily release cycle.
- Engage with a web stack including Java, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases, all on AWS.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language is essential.
- Experience with backend systems; willingness to learn frontend skills as needed (not required for interview).
- Familiarity with Java, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS is desirable but not all tools are required.
