Overview
As Director of IT – M&A, Transformation & Infrastructure, you’ll drive post-merger integration and large-scale technology programs to unlock business value. You will partner with executives across multiple verticals to translate strategy into scalable IT roadmaps and oversee complex multi-track initiatives. Your leadership in systems engineering and core infrastructure will guide cloud migrations, security, and compliance, delivering on time and within budget. This role offers strategic impact at scale, shaping IT capabilities during critical growth and integration moments.
Responsibilities
- Lead IT due diligence and PMI activities across target companies, defining integration frameworks and playbooks
- Define target operating models, technology synergies, and risk mitigation for deals
- Oversee complex transformation programs and cloud/infrastructure migrations from inception to stabilization
- Establish program governance, KPIs, risk registries, and steering committee reporting across concurrent projects
- Serve as primary IT business partner to senior leadership, aligning IT with commercial goals
- Translate business requirements into high-level IT architecture strategies and roadmaps
- Drive stakeholder alignment, manage organizational change management, and communicate IT vision to technical and non-technical audiences
- Oversee infrastructure modernization, data migration, and transitions post-acquisition
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams and manage external delivery partners
- Negotiate contracts with SIs/MSPs and manage vendor relationships
Key requirements
- 10+ years IT experience with at least 4–5 years in IT leadership roles
- Proven hands-on M&A integrations, carve-outs, and enterprise-wide migration programs
- Strong technical background as Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Architect
- Deep knowledge of hybrid-cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), networking, storage, virtualization, Microsoft 365, and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Experience managing complex multi-stream programs (PMP, PgMP, or Agile/Scrum certifications preferred)
- Strong business acumen, financial literacy (CAPEX/OPEX), and executive communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field; Master’s or MBA is a plus
