An early-stage, founder-led product company in the insurance space is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take significant ownership of its core platform. The company is small (around 10–15 people) and still actively shaping both the product and the way it builds software. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working close to the product, moving quickly, and using modern AI tools as a genuine part of their development workflow.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the core product with a strong focus on frontend and overall product experience
- Build primarily using React and TypeScript within an API-driven architecture
- Prototype, iterate, and ship features quickly in an early-stage environment
- Actively use AI development tools (Claude, Copilot, Manus or similar) to accelerate development and experimentation
- Work closely with founders to turn ideas into working product
- Make pragmatic technical decisions with a high degree of autonomy
Requirements
- Senior-level experience as a Software Engineer / Product Engineer / Full-Stack Engineer
- Comfortable owning a codebase and working with limited structure
- A genuine passion for AI-assisted development and prompt-driven workflows
- Experience in startup or early-stage product environments is a strong plus
- Backend experience is useful but not the primary focus
