About the Role: We’re looking for a Product Owner who thrives in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment and is passionate about delivering products customers truly value. You will own the team backlog and play a critical role in translating product strategy into high-quality, scalable Record-to-Report (R2R) cloud capabilities. Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX, and stakeholders, you will ensure that what the team builds is clear, valuable, and aligned to customer needs and business goals. This role sits at the center of execution, maximizing the value delivered by the team while maintaining a strong focus on quality, usability, and predictability.

What you’ll do:

  • Backlog Ownership & Delivery Execution: Own, prioritize, and manage the team backlog, ensuring alignment with product strategy and business outcomes. Translate product initiatives into well-defined user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria. Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and support Agile ceremonies to ensure clarity and readiness. Make day-to-day prioritization decisions to maximize value delivery and minimize delivery risk. Ensure delivered features meet acceptance criteria and align with intended user outcomes.
  • Customer Value & Product Understanding: Represent the voice of the customer by deeply understanding user workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes. Collaborate with Product Management to refine features based on customer feedback, data insights, and market needs. Validate that delivered functionality solves the intended problem and provides measurable value. Continuously identify opportunities to improve usability, adoption, and customer experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for Engineering and QA for backlog-related clarity and decision-making. Partner closely with UX to ensure intuitive and consistent user experiences. Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, and Services to understand customer impact and support successful releases. Work with Product Management to ensure alignment between strategy and execution.
  • Quality & Delivery Excellence: Ensure user stories are complete, testable, and aligned with expected outcomes. Partner with QA to ensure appropriate test coverage and quality standards are met. Participate in feature validation and user acceptance to ensure readiness for release. Maintain a strong focus on reducing rework, ambiguity, and delivery inefficiencies.

What You Bring

  • Experience & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role within a SaaS environment. Proven experience owning and managing a backlog for a cross-functional Agile team. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and product delivery practices. Ability to break down complex problems into clear, actionable work. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Mindset & Approach: Customer-focused with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Detail-oriented, with a focus on clarity, quality, and outcomes. Comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment. Collaborative and proactive in removing ambiguity and enabling team success.
  • Nice to Have: Experience in finance, reconciliation or enterprise SaaS domains. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar. Exposure to product analytics, A/B testing, or data-driven decision-making.
