Trint transforms audio and video into publishable content — with live transcription in seconds, 70+ language translation, speaker recognition, and AI-generated first drafts. Trusted by newsrooms like AP, CNN, The New York Times, Fox, the Financial Times and Sky and organisations ranging from the Kansas City Chiefs to Accenture to Wells Fargo Banks, Trint’s AI-powered software is designed for speed, editorial integrity, and secure professional workflows. We're a global business with offices in London and Toronto, and a team that passionately cares about our product, about each other, and about the people who rely on Trint every day. Diversity and inclusion aren't an afterthought here; they're part of how we work and who we are. Trint was founded by an Emmy-winning journalist and war correspondent who brings unique domain expertise and a passion for innovating solutions. This is an exciting moment to join. We're scaling our Enterprise business with purpose, and we're building the team and the infrastructure to do it with speed.
We're looking for a VP of Revenue to own the full commercial engine — Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success — as a single, accountable function. It's a mandate to build the top-of-funnel machine right through to closing, renewing and expanding. The VP is a leader who understands how to leverage AI to build a sales playbook with clear processes for 2026 and beyond. Trint needs those consistent processes to scale predictably: a robust understanding of our ICPs, a qualified pipeline, shorter sales cycles, including a playbook for prospecting, discovery, trials, pricing, onboarding, customer satisfaction and account expansion. You’ll inherit a team with real enterprise wins with many of the biggest media, broadcast and sports logos in the world, a proven enterprise product/market fit and a Customer Success org that has historically outperformed. Initially, your job is to focus on improving volume and velocity sitting upstream of that — and to evolve the systems, team, and discipline that amplify growth in enterprise. This is a frontline sales position. Meeting with key customers and key prospects is an important part of the job, as is attending industry trade shows. Candidates should expect to travel at least monthly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pipeline Generation & Top-of-Funnel: Review Trint’s TAM and SAM with Trint’s ELT and the GTM team to qualify our ICPs and potential new markets. Build and scale demand generation (outbound, inbound, partnerships, events) to materially increase qualified pipeline volume against ICP. Improve the marketing-to-sales handoff - lead scoring, routing, and SLAs that eliminate the friction between demand gen and pipeline conversion. Diagnose whether growth constraints are demand-side, conversion-side, or capacity-side, and resource accordingly.
- Sales Cycle Acceleration: Own end-to-end funnel velocity: qualification → proposal → negotiation → close. Identify and remove the stage-by-stage friction slowing deals down (process, tooling, deal desk, pricing/packaging). Demonstrated use of AI and RevOps tooling to improve forecast accuracy, pipeline quality, and team productivity — not just familiarity, but hands-on adoption. Build forecasting discipline and pipeline coverage models the board can trust.
- Revenue Team Leadership: Represent sales, Customer Success and Marketing as a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team. Lead Sales (new business AEs), Customer Success/Account Management (expansion & retention), and Marketing as one aligned org and hold them accountable to targets. Design compensation and opportunity-ownership frameworks that resolve new-business vs. expansion conflicts fairly. Recruit, coach, and scale a lean, high-output team - this is a capital-efficient organization, not a headcount-heavy one. Deploy AI across the revenue engine: AI-assisted forecasting, pipeline prioritisation, lead routing/scoring, and rep productivity.
- Customer Success & Expansion: Protect and grow NRR across enterprise book of business. Preserve the prosumer-to-enterprise pipeline as a top-of-funnel asset for enterprise conversion. Keep CS positioned as a revenue-driving function, not a cost center. Work with CS to represent the voice of the customer to the business and bring product development requests from the customer with clear impact metrics for the business and how it supports the business strategy.
- GTM Strategy & Board Reporting: Own the commercial narrative at board level: pipeline health, win/loss analysis, NRR, sales velocity, and demand gen ROI. Partner with Product on pricing, packaging, and roadmap prioritisation.
- Market and Brand: Partner with brand and content team to align marketing strategy with performance metrics including building Trint’s inbound pipeline for Enterprise sales. Support the team to optimize high-impact acquisition channels, including SEO, paid media, and LLMs.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years in senior revenue leadership (VP Sales, VP Revenue, or CRO) in B2B SaaS, ideally at a similar ARR stage ($10M–$20M) or scaling through it.
- Solid leadership skills: ability to communicate clearly, lead authentically, motivate, inspire and hold the team accountable.
- Experience managing, motivating and developing sales, customer success and marketing teams with a coaching and collaborative leadership style.
- Demonstrated ownership of both new-business acquisition AND retention/expansion — not just one side of the funnel.
- A track record of go-to-market leadership, building demand generation and pipeline engines from a low-volume or inconsistent baseline.
- Strong analytical and financial literacy — able to interpret financial models, budgets, and business performance data, and communicate findings clearly to non-finance audiences.
- Experience managing through contraction or lean periods without sacrificing team performance or morale.
- Comfort operating at board level — building the pipeline/NRR/win-loss narrative, not just receiving targets.
- Experience designing compensation structures that incentivise the team, work for the business and opportunity-ownership rules across overlapping sales motions (new logo vs. expansion).
- International team leadership experience (NA/EMEA/APAC) is a strong plus (Trint’s sales and success teams are split between London for EMEA and Toronto for North America).
- Media, broadcast, sports, or content-adjacent industry experience a plus, not a requirement.
- Demonstrated use of AI and RevOps tooling to improve forecast accuracy, pipeline quality, and team productivity — not just familiarity, hands-on adoption.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN ONE YEAR
- Enterprise revenue growth of 20%+.
- Qualified pipeline volume materially increased against a defined ICP, with clear marketing-sourced attribution.
- A motivated and engaged team hitting and exceeding targets.
- Measurable reduction in average sales cycle length across enterprise and mid-market segments.
- Improved average contract value to support enterprise growth.
- NRR improved across strategic accounts.
- A resourced, aligned Marketing–Sales–CS org operating off shared definitions of a qualified lead and a healthy pipeline.
- A board-level narrative and reporting cadence that gives leadership confidence in forecast accuracy.
